Delete your Pantrove account
You can delete your Pantrove account and its data from inside the app at any time. If you no longer have the app installed, email us and we will do it for you.
Delete it in the app
- Open Pantrove and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Privacy & data.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
What happens next
Deletion is scheduled, not instant. Your account is marked for erasure and everything is permanently deleted 30 days later. This gives you a window to change your mind if the tap was a mistake.
To cancel during those 30 days: sign back into Pantrove, open Settings → Privacy & data, and tap Keep my account at the top of the screen. Simply signing in does not cancel a scheduled deletion — the cancellation is a deliberate tap, so nothing reverses your decision by accident.
Once the 30 days have passed, the deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription
If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, that subscription is billed by Apple or Google, not by us, and it keeps billing until you cancel it there. Cancel it in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iPhone, or in the Play Store → Subscriptions on Android. If you subscribed on the web, cancel from Manage subscription before deleting your account.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account is removed from our live systems, including:
- Your account and profile — email, password, preferences, dietary settings and allergies
- Your pantry — every inventory item, leftover and general-stock record
- Your receipts — scanned receipts, their line items and any stored scan images
- Your cooking history — meal logs, consumption history, cook feedback and ratings
- Your lists and plans — shopping lists, meal plans, saved recipes and recipes you wrote
- Your health entries — water logs, weight logs and anything you recorded alongside them
- Your messages — sous-chef conversations, notifications and notification preferences
- Your behavioural data — searches, taps, product affinities and the learning signals built from them
What is kept, and why
Three narrow things survive, and none of them can be traced back to you:
- Food in a shared household. If you shared a pantry, the pantry and shopping rows for that household stay with the people you shared it with — the food is physically in their kitchen, and deleting it would leave them shopping against a list that no longer describes their fridge. Your name and your account link are stripped from every one of those rows.
- Contributions you consented to share. A correction you submitted to a food's facts, or a photo you explicitly agreed to contribute, is kept as an anonymous data point with every link to you removed. Anything you did not give that specific permission for is deleted outright, along with its image files.
- A one-way record that the deletion happened. A hash we cannot read back as your details, kept as our proof that we honoured your request.
No longer have the app?
Email us from the address on the account and we will schedule the deletion for you. Use the subject line Account deletion so it is routed straight through.
